RDHS volunteers provide care for the animals at the Revelstoke City Shelter on weekday evenings and weekends. We receive the adoption fee from all animals at the shelter. In return each animal that is adopted out is spayed/neutered, dewormed, defleaed ( if necessary), vaccinated and tattooed.
Spay and Neuter Program:
We operate a spay/neuter program within the community to provide assistance for those on a limited income in attempt to control animal overpopulation in our community. We regularly offer 30% coverage on all spay/neuters .
RDHS wants to improve the welfare of animals in the community through programs and services in sheltering, education and protection. If you would like to volunteer call 250-837-8578 (RDHS) or to view animals call 250-837-4747 (Animal Control).
